A good point for Arsenal? Or a better one for Man City?

One point gained, or two dropped?

Krish

Arsenal’s discipline has cost them today. You cannot be doing that in a title race with this City team, when they look back they will see this as two points dropped

Did the ref cost Arsenal?

Mike

I don’t understand how, after the Rice controversy, no other players in ANY other game can be booked for delaying a restart. THEN Doku VERY deliberately delays a restart without a card, and after ALL that, Oliver thinks it’s going to be acceptable to book Trossard for

‘Gabriel and Saliba were

“Gabriel and Saliba were unbelievable. To defend like that for 45 minutes in the second half against the best team in the league is remarkable.

“When Gabriel came to Arsenal he was making a few mistakes, but he has changed his game to be reliable.

Report: Stones salvages draw for Man City against 10-player Arsenal

John Stones scored a dramatic 98th-minute equaliser as Manchester City denied 10-player Arsenal a statement win in a gripping 2-2 draw at the Etihad on Super Sunda

Man City 2-2 Arsenal: John Stones scores 98th-minute equaliser against 10-player Gunners in gripping

ough to take for Arsenal – imagine both teams would have taken a point start of the game (nothing lost, nothing gained). Arsenal’s gamesmanship cost them in the end

After Man City’s 2-2 draw with Arsenal, Micah Richards and Roy Keane clashed over how much praise the Gunners deserve for how they defended after going down to ten

Or did this show why Arsenal are always second?

James Wilson

This is why Arsenal will never win anything – resorting to cheating and time wasting to try and hold on to a lead. Top teams hold the ball and play keep-away.

Do you feel bad for Arsenal as well

Feel terrible for Arsenal. Really wanted them to win . Seeing city win every week and win the prem is boring and bad for English football. Arsenal were cheated by an incompetent ref and City were nothing but entitled cry

Merson: I was shocked with Man City

Sky Sports’ Paul Merson at the Etihad Stadium:

“I was quite shocked with Man City today in how they ran out of ideas.”

Tell us about it..

WOW. JUST WOW. CITY AND ARSENAL ARE JUST BOTH TWO INCREDIBLE TEAMS!!!!!!

Stones: We controlled emotions amid Arsenal ‘dark arts’

Man City defender John Stones to Sky Sports:

“I am frustrated that you don’t get to start in these big games. Before the game I tried to channel it and I have a positive attitude that: if needed, I can come on.

“Over the years, we have learned as a team to stick together no matter who is playing and always be ready. I know the manager empathises that.

“I came on and tried to be inside the box. One dropped to me and I put it in the back of the net.

“Pep wanted me to play closer to Erling [Haaland], higher up in the pitch to get more crosses in. Not really [has he ever said that before]. It’s so inter-changeable, everyone plays in pockets.

“I tried to go in there, get in the right areas and it fell for me, luckily. It was a difficult afternoon, they used the side of football that not many teams do: make it difficult, slow it down, get the goalkeeper down to get some information on.

“It was a good battle, a lot of tackles. Some silly decision, but it’s hard to digest it all. But we come away with a point, towards the end of the game it could have been us losing three games.

“We’ll review it, we have a game in two days which is quick and fast.

“I wouldn’t say they’ve mastered it. They’ve been doing it for a few years. You can call it clever and dirty, whichever way you call it, it upsets the rhythm for everyone. They use it for their advantage. We controlled our emotions really well.

“What everyone expects watching a big game like this is there’s drama and whether you’re involved in it, you want to be level-headed and not make silly yellow cards.

“They made it difficult for us being so deep and having so many people around the box. It will be something we have to review.

“For the past few years, there’s been a rivalry that’s been growing. One where we’ve always wanted to be on top. We’ve got one, we wanted three. But we came away with a vital point is something we should be proud of.”

‘Two points dropped for Arsenal’

Jack

As an Arsenal fan, I’m absolutely distraught at that. As soon as I begin to believe we’ll win there, I see that. I genuinely think that’s two points dropped. I’ll never see that as a point gained.

Tale of the Tape from the Etihad

A game of two halves if there ever was one…

Three controversial moments…

Three big moments helped decide this game.

The first: Man City believing Arsenal’s first goal should not have stood as they were still getting ready at a free-kick.

Then Jeremy Doku was not punished for kicking the ball away as Arsenal won a free-kick. A small moment because…

…then came the Leandro Trossard red card for kicking the ball away. The second time Arsenal have been guilty – or the victim? – this this offence

All four unbeaten sides played on Super Sunday.

All four sides remain unbeaten on Super Sunday.

Man City 2-2 Arsenal

“A shame for Arsenal, City ranideas, they looked like they ran out of ideas, Arsenal did brilliantly, but now they will look back and wonder.

“At the start of the game you would have taken a draw, so fair paly to Arsenal.”

“They limited Manchester City to scraps.
